So, what will we actually be doing? The four main things we hope the girls will get out of Girl Scouts isA are:
- Friendship
- Love of the outdoors
- Good character
- Fun new skills
Because we'll be meeting right after school, the very first thing on our schedule each week will be snack, followed by lots of outdoor play and exploration. Then we'll move on to talking about character, making plans, learning new skills, and doing crafts and activities together.
Some Girl Scout troops do a lot of field trips, and extra activities on weekends. That's not what we're planning for this group, at least not this year - our families seem to be busy enough already! We hope we can do some camping when they get a little older, though. Next year, isA :)
